The airdrop engine
How a fractional position in every pool stock reaches every eligible holder.
The airdrop engine is what makes Stock World Assets different from a token with a treasury. Rather than the treasury holding stocks on holders' behalf, the protocol pushes packs to eligible holders. Opening a pack rolls a fractional position from the pool into your claim interface.
The principle
Holding $SWA earns packs. When you open one, the protocol rolls a ticker from the current pool and credits a fixed unit size (for example 100 NVDA), presented as about $1 of $SWA supply if redeemed. Over many opens, holders build exposure across the pool without managing each purchase themselves.
Portfolio shape over time still tracks the pool — see Synthetic ETF. This page covers packs, eligibility, and what happens after you open.
Eligibility
Eligibility is determined by $SWA balance at the moment of the distribution snapshot. There is no registration and no minimum tier of participation. Holding the token qualifies you for packs; opening them on the site (wallet connected) is how positions arrive.
Excluded from distributions:
- The liquidity pool contract, which would otherwise capture a large share.
- The protocol treasury and pool custody addresses.
- Burn and null addresses.
Weighting
Your share of a distribution is your weight divided by the total weight of all eligible holders. Weight has two inputs:
- Balance. How much $SWA you hold at the snapshot. This is live and final today — larger balance, larger share, linearly.
- Hold time. How long you have held it. Holding longer earns more airdrops and more stocks. This component is not yet live.
What is committed about the hold-time design:
- Direction. Longer continuous holding increases your weight. It never decreases it.
- Compounding with balance. Hold time multiplies your balance-derived weight rather than replacing it. A large recent holder and a small long-term holder can end up at similar weights.
- Selling resets it. Disposing of $SWA resets your hold-time standing. Partial sells are expected to reset proportionally rather than entirely, but the exact treatment is part of what is still being finalised.
- It is not retroactive at the expense of others. Activating the multiplier changes future distributions only. Nothing already distributed is clawed back or recalculated.
Packs
Eligible holders receive unopened packs. Connect your wallet on the homepage to see your pack balance and open them. Each open rolls one ticker from the pool and credits a fixed unit size (for example 100 NVDA) presented as roughly $1 of $SWA supplyif you redeem. Live on-chain balances replace today's demo inventory when contracts are published.
After you open a pack there is a 30-minute sell window delay: you cannot redeem that position for $SWA until the timer completes. You can still hold past unlock to collect dividends — see Redeem vs hold.
What actually arrives
Opening a pack delivers a fractional position in the rolled ticker, not a whole exchange-traded share. Units accumulate across opens; each open is one roll from the live pool composition.
Each arriving position carries the same attributes shown on the pool cards:
| Attribute | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ticker and name | The referenced equity. |
| Tier | Classification by capitalisation and payout profile. See The pool. |
| Backing | Value committed to the parent position in the pool. |
| Yield | Trailing dividend yield on the underlying. |
| Payout frequency | Quarterly, monthly, or semi-annual. |
After arrival
Once the 30-minute unlock completes, the protocol takes no further action on the position. It sits there paying dividends until you redeem. Your two options are covered in Redeem vs hold, and the income side in Dividends.
There is no forced redemption and no decay after unlock. A position opened in the first week behaves identically to one opened a year later once its sell window has opened.
Tracking distributions
Every distribution event appears in the Explorer as an Airdrop event, showing the recipient, the asset, the fractional amount, and the value at distribution. The Explorer also surfaces a 24-hour recipient leaderboard and the positions that have been distributed most by value.
